# Collaborators

Bring other people into your studio without handing over your account.

## Adding someone

**Studio → Collaborators → Invite.** They need an Updatr account already.

## Permissions

Grant only what each person needs:

| Permission         | Allows                                          |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| `manage_studio` | Edit studio settings, integrations, and the bot |
| `manage_products`  | Create and edit products                        |
| `manage_licenses` | View licenses, transfer, pause, rotate keys |
| `manage_blacklist` | Block and unblock users                         |
| `manage_webhooks`  | Configure Discord webhooks                      |
| `use_obfuscator` | Run the obfuscator on studio code |

{% hint style="warning" %}
You are responsible for what your collaborators do in your studio. Grant the narrowest set that lets someone do their job, and remove access when they're done.
{% endhint %}

## Owner-only

Some things stay with the studio owner and can't be delegated:

* The **General** profile tab
* **Domains**
* The store URL
* Adding and removing collaborators

These define the studio's public identity, so they aren't shareable.

## Removing someone

**Studio → Collaborators**, then remove. Access ends immediately.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://merithic.gitbook.io/merithic-docs/selling/collaborators.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
